Forgive me if this question has been asked and answered somewhere - if it has, point me in the right direction, otherwise... picture this...or something like it...
You double click on the newly installed SWTOR icon on your desktop, and log into the servers. After rolling your char, you are about to start the game proper. The screen goes dark, and you see space, infinite space. You can't believe it - you've waited so, so long for this, and now it's here, it's actually happening...here we go.
Some words appear - 'A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...'
The silence is shattered by the much anticipated blast of Williams' immortal theme, as the familiar words STAR WARS are emblazoned across your screen - and the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
Then comes the scrolling intro, the iconic floating writing panning majestically through space; giving you a high level summary of what's going on - setting the scene, against the backdrop of stars and the rousing strains of the main theme.
As the strings weave their intricate melody and the words of the opening narration disappear into the distance, the camera lingers on the open space for a moment or two, as if taking a final deep breath before the plunge, then slowly it pans downward to reveal the glowing surface of a planet, and a ship roars past your view, heading with purpose toward the planet surface...
Its an opening we've seen many times in the films. Never gets old. Heralds the beginning of a great adventure.
Will it be there for SWTOR?
